MDDA's National Family Retreat is our hallmark event that usually occurs once a year in a prime interstate location.

This years National Family Retreat will take place once again at the beautiful InterContinental Sanctuary Cove. 

A decision was made to repeat the event at the same venue as 2022 due to the extremely positive feedback which was received from all guests and also due to how accommodating the venue was to all our needs.

The Retreat attracts all types of family groups and members from the IEM Australian community including: newly diagnosed infants, kids and teens through to well experienced adults, those returning to diet, supportive family members, spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings and carers representing all protein IEMs. 

It also welcomes special guests and speakers from metabolic clinics, research and other health institutions from around the country.
