1. PRICING
1.1 All prices are in Australian dollars and include 10% GST.
1.2 Any registration received within 14 days of the Conference commencement date will incur an administration fee of $50 per person.
2. REGISTRATION
2.1 Registration packages are provided as either, all inclusive of all meals & activities for the weekend event OR can be tailored to suit specific days & times. Accommodation is to be paid for in addition to registration packages if required.
2.2 Travel, extensions and other incidentals are at your own cost.
2.3 Registrations are open to all current financial MDDA members. If you are not a member please visit www.mdda.org.au or enquire at office@mdda.org.au
3. ACCOMMODATION
3.1 Accommodation is at Yarra Valley Lodge in Victoria and must be booked through MDDA as part of your registration package to receive the discounted rates.
3.2 Additional room accommodation and upgrade costs are applicable to all room nights and dependent upon availability.
3.3 Room occupancy limitations apply to all bookings and breakfast is charged in addition and on consumption for extension nights outside of the main conference/retreat dates.
3.4 Accommodation requested after the early bird registration date specified cannot be guaranteed with price or availability.
4. TRAVEL
4.1 All costs and arrangements associated with your travel to and from the conference (including parking) are at your own arrangement and cost (excluding the complimentary group transfers provided as part of the full conference/retreat package).
4.2 It is recommended that you take out travel insurance to cover for any unforeseen circumstances that might impede your ability to travel.
4.3 . MDDA is not responsible for missed flights as a result of airport shuttle transfers.
5. PAYMENT TERMS
5.1 All conference/retreat registration & accommodation fees are payable direct to MDDA.
5.2 Payment can be made via credit card or EFT.
5.3 All credit card payments attract credit card surcharges as follows: Visa, MasterCard or Amex - 1.86%.
5.4 Please note these credit card charges are directly passed on by MDDA at the rates charged to them. They are higher than standard retail outlet rates as they are charged as online merchant rates. If you have any concerns about these rates charged, please speak with MDDA and alternative payment methods can be accepted.
5.5 Payment will be processed in full upon receipt of your registration unless you opt to participate in the payment plan.
5.6 A taxation invoice/receipt will accompany your registration confirmation which will be emailed to you once your registration has been processed.
5.7 Payment for the conference/retreat, including any accommodation must be received within 3 working days of your booking confirmation and per any selected payment plans. If payment is not received by this time MDDA reserves the right to cancel your booking.
5.8 If you select a payment plan the following must be meet: 25% of total cost to be paid on booking, 50% of total cost no later then 31st July 2024 and the final outstanding amount payable no later then 30th August 2024.
6. CANCELLATION AND REFUND TERMS
6.1 Refunds are available at the discretion of the Metabolic Dietary Disorders Association.
6.2 Cancellations must be received in writing and a minimum $50 cancellation fee will apply per person and any credit surcharges paid will not be refunded.
6.3 If cancellation is received in writing less than 60 days out from the event start date, 50% of any package costs & accommodation booked are payable, if less than 30 days out 100% is payable.
7. NON-DISCLOSURE
7.1 Metabolic Dietary Disorders Association may film, photo and video this event.
7.2 Any data collected from this event will be strictly in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
7.3 MDDA will only use personal information provided for the purpose of managing your participation in the event.
7.4 Images (Photo and Video) collected during the course of the event by MDDA may be used for future MDDA marketing activities.
8. COVID-19 Terms and Conditions
The onus is on each of our attendees to ensure they do not have flu-like symptoms, or symptoms consistent with Covid-19 and have not recently been diagnosed with, or had direct contact with a known Covid-19 case, and will comply with the event’s safety procedures.
We ask that you only travel to the conference/retreat if you are feeling well and have no infectious flu-like symptoms.
We ask that attendees only attend the conference/retreat sessions if you are feeling well. Should you begin to experience any cold or flu like symptoms, including fever, coughing, sore throat, and shortness of breath, please do not attend event sessions. If you begin to feel unwell while at the event, we ask that you remain in your hotel room.
9.Bookings & Enquiries:
9.1 Please register online at 2024 MDDA National Retreat. Early bird prices extended until sold out. Registrations close on 31st May 2024. Any payment not received by 31st May 2024 will default to the full registration package.
10. Conference Cancellation or Postponement:
10.1 MDDA do not accept any liability for losses incurred if the event is cancelled or postponed due to an unforeseen occurrence or any other occurrence that renders performance of this event inadvisable, illegal, impracticable or impossible.
An unforeseen occurrence shall include, but shall not be limited to: an Act of God; infectious disease outbreak, industrial disruptions, service provider failures, governmental restrictions and/or regulations; war or apparent act of war; terrorism or apparent act of terrorism; disaster; civil disorder, disturbance, and/or riots; curtailment, suspension, and/or restriction on transportation; or any other emergency.
10.2 If the event is cancelled due to a force majeure occurrence before the first day of the event, then MDDA will reschedule the affected event and your registration fee will be applied to the rescheduled event - where related event costs have not already been incurred (eg. Food ordered or prepared etc.)
11. Limitation of Liability:
11.1 MDDA will not in any event be liable for special or consequential damages, including without limitation extra expenses, loss of profits, or damages consequential upon loss of use, whether arising from either party’s negligence, and even if the possibility of such damages is or was foreseeable by either party.
11.2 The attendee is responsible for all personal items. MDDA will NOT be liable for missing, lost or stolen items.
11.3 Attendees will be responsible for all death, personal injury and/or property damage, caused by the attendee or the attendees, guests.
12. Insurance:
12.1 The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants are advised to take out appropriate insurance. MDDA does not cover individuals for any losses caused by the cancellation or postponement of the event.
13. Disruptive Conduct:
13.1 You acknowledge and agree that MDDA reserve the right to exclude any person from registering for, or participating in, any event. In addition, MDDA may remove any person’s access to the event if, in their sole discretion, determine that your participation or behaviour creates a disruption or hinders the event or the enjoyment of the event content by other attendees.
14. Intellectual Property:
14.1 All intellectual property rights to the event content, and all materials distributed at or in connection with the event are owned by MDDA, the sponsors, &/or speakers presenting at the event. Participants may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks or other trade names appearing at the event, in the event content, or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the event for any reason without the prior written permission from the MDDA.
14.2 No part of the event may be recorded, reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronically or mechanically, including but not limited to video or audio recording, photographing, photocopying or any other information storage or retrieval system known now or in the future, without the explicit written permission of MDDA.
